ITALERI 1/48 Tornado GR.1/IDS Gulf War - War Thunder Edition
British Panavia Tornado GR.1/IDS Gulf War (1:48 Scale)
?The Panavia Tornado GR.1, known as the IDS (Interdictor/Strike) variant, was a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing multirole combat aircraft developed jointly by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. Entering service with the Royal Air Force in the early 1980s, the GR.1 was designed for low-level, high-speed penetration missions, capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear ordnance. It featured terrain-following radar and advanced avionics for all-weather operations. The GR.1 saw extensive use during the 1991 Gulf War. Many units were later upgraded to the GR.4 standard, enhancing avionics, navigation systems, and weapon compatibility. The Tornado GR.1 remained a key RAF asset until its retirement in 2019.
